Chapter 1
Registering your organisation
Signing up for the fleet portal, submitting your organisation’s KYC, and the approval you have to wait for before anything else in this guide will work.
Step 1
Open fleet.mageride.lk in a browser. The fleet portal is a website rather than an app, and it is built for a phone screen as well as a desktop, so either will do.
Step 2
Sign up with an email address and a password, with Google, or with Apple. All three lead to the same fleet account, and you can link the others to it later.
This is not how drivers sign in. The driver app uses a phone number and a one-time code; the fleet portal uses email, Google or Apple. If you drive as well as run a fleet, you have two separate ways in.
Step 3
Confirm your email address — until you do, your access is limited. The same screen is where you reset a password you have forgotten.
Step 4
Fill in the organisation profile and upload your KYC documents: the business name and registration, a contact, and identification for the authorised person.
Step 5
Submit it, and wait. A Verification Officer at MageRide reviews your organisation the same way a driver’s own vehicle is reviewed.
While you wait, your organisation is Pending. You can look around the portal, but you cannot onboard a vehicle or assign a driver yet.
Step 6
If your KYC is rejected you are given a reason. Correct the documents and submit again — nothing else you have entered is lost.
Step 7
Once you are approved, invite your team. Each member signs in with their own email, Google or Apple credentials, and you choose whether they are a Manager or a Viewer.
Step 8
Set your language. The fleet portal is in Sinhala, Tamil and English, the same as the rest of MageRide.

Questions about this
- Which languages does MageRide support?
- Sinhala, Tamil and English, everywhere. You pick one before signing in and can change it at any time.
- What are Mode A, Mode B and Mode C?
- Three different things you can do. Mode A is public buses and trains, free for anyone to watch. Mode B is a private vehicle you have been given permission to follow. Mode C is booking a ride or a delivery right now. They are separate services, not one feature with a switch on it.
