Vehicle documents, and what gates approval

Step 1

Open the vehicle and find its document slots. There are four, each named for the document that goes in it.

Step 2

Upload the registration copy — the CR book — the insurance certificate, and the revenue licence. Every vehicle needs all three.

Insurance is required for every mode. There is no kind of MageRide vehicle that is exempt from it.

Step 3

If the vehicle runs public transport, upload the route permit as well. Mode A needs one; the other modes do not.

Step 4

Each document is read automatically as it uploads. The registration number is checked against the plate, and expiry dates, permit numbers and routes are picked out for you.

Step 5

Each slot then carries its own status — Verified, Pending or Missing. Read the slots, not only the vehicle.

Step 6

The vehicle cannot be approved while a required document is Missing or Pending. A document that comes back Rejected is uploaded again.

Step 7

Watch the expiry dates. A required document that expires takes that vehicle out of service until it is replaced.
