Bulk credit, and passing it on

Step 1

Any driver holding wallet credit can transfer it to any other driver. That is all a “reseller” is on MageRide — a driver who bought credit cheaply. There is no separate account to open and no permission to be granted.

Step 2

Bulk credit vouchers are on the top-up screen, in five fixed sizes from Rs 1,000 up to Rs 10,000. You pay less than the voucher is worth and your wallet is credited the full face value straight away.

The discount is set by MageRide, differs by size, and larger vouchers usually earn a bigger one. The current rates are on the tiles — this page does not quote them, because they can be changed at any time.

Step 3

There is no code to redeem. The credit is in your own wallet from the moment you pay, and you can use it for your own daily fees or pass it on.

Step 4

To get credit from another driver, open Request credit and enter their Driver ID and the amount. They get a notification and either approve or decline it.

A Driver ID, typed in — nothing is scanned. QR scanning was removed from this screen, and there are no special reseller codes to enter.

Step 5

On the other side, incoming requests arrive as notifications and appear on the Credit transfer screen with the requesting driver’s name, vehicle and amount. Approve or decline each one.

Step 6

You can also send credit without being asked — enter a Driver ID and an amount on the same screen and send it.

Step 7

Whichever way it goes, the exact amount leaves one wallet and arrives in the other. MageRide takes no commission on a transfer and no cut of any kind. Both sides are recorded, and both drivers can see the transfer in their history.

Step 8

A transfer is blocked if your balance cannot cover it. And a transfer that has gone through cannot be pulled back — check who you are sending to first.
