Registering your vehicle

Step 1

The driver app registers standby vehicles — the vehicle you drive yourself and take on-demand hires with. Motorbike, three-wheeler, Flex, sedan, mini van and van, plus truck and mini truck for deliveries.

A bus, a school van, or anything carrying a route permit is registered by its operator in the fleet portal instead. There is no permit slot and no GPS-tracker field in this wizard, and that is deliberate rather than missing.

Step 2

My Vehicles is where every vehicle you have lives, and where this starts. If you have none at all, the app offers to register one as soon as you open the screen.

Step 3

Step 1 of 4 asks for two things: the vehicle type, and its registration number. Continue takes you to insurance.

Step 4

Steps 2, 3 and 4 are photographs — your insurance certificate, your revenue licence, and the vehicle itself front and back with the number plate readable. Each one shows Done once it has uploaded.

Step 5

Each step is saved as you finish it. You can close the app halfway through step 2 and come back tomorrow; nothing you have already done is lost.

Step 6

Until all four are done the vehicle sits in My Vehicles as Incomplete, showing which step is next. Once all four are checked and cleared it shows Approved — and only an Approved vehicle can be taken online.

Step 7

Coming back to an unfinished vehicle is Resume, on that vehicle’s own row. It opens that vehicle at its own next step, not at the beginning.

The plus button at the top means add: it always starts a fresh Step 1 of 4 for a new vehicle, whatever else is unfinished. Vehicle Onboarding in the menu names no vehicle, so it returns you to the first unfinished one.

Step 8

You can register as many vehicles as you like, but only one is live at a time — the one you select in My Vehicles is the one that publishes its position, takes hires, and sets the daily rate you pay.
