Chapter 11

Delivering a package

A parcel arrives as an ordinary offer with a package badge on it, and then runs as three sheets and two codes: review and start, collect, deliver.

  1. Step 1

Package jobs reach you the same way rides do — the same fifteen-second offer, with a Package badge, the size, and a short description of what is inside. You can turn it down on the strength of that.

Deliveries are not limited to any one kind of vehicle. A motorbike carries parcels; so does a van. Trucks and mini trucks exist for deliveries in addition to the vehicles that carry passengers, not instead of them.

  2. Step 2

Accepting opens the first of three sheets: review and start. It shows how far the pickup is, how far the drop is, how the delivery is being paid for, and both the sender’s and the recipient’s phone numbers, each with a call button.

  3. Step 3

If it suits you, tap Start delivery. If it does not, tap Cancel — the job goes straight to the next eligible driver and nothing is held against you.

This is the moment to decide. Cancelling here is ordinary; abandoning a parcel you have already collected is not, and there is no sheet for it.

  4. Step 4

The second sheet takes you to the sender. It carries the map, a Call sender button, SOS, and a four-digit pickup code.

  5. Step 5

Ask the sender for that code and enter it. The parcel becomes collected, the recipient is told it is on its way, and the third sheet opens. A wrong code says so; after five wrong attempts it locks and goes to support.

  6. Step 6

At the door, ask the recipient for their own four-digit delivery code and enter it. Both phone numbers are on this sheet too, with call buttons.

  7. Step 7

If nobody is there to give you a code, photo proof stands in for it. Photograph the parcel where you left it — the picture is attached, with its location, as the record that you delivered it.

  8. Step 8

Then tap Delivery completed. That one button finishes the job, whether the parcel was paid for in advance or in cash at the door — there is no separate “cash received” button any more.

Questions about this

What is the daily platform fee?
A flat daily amount an on-demand driver pays from their second trip onward, set by vehicle type. Once it is paid, the rest of that day’s trips are unlimited and MageRide takes nothing further. The current rates are listed on the drivers page.
How much of the fare does a driver keep?
All of it. MageRide takes no commission. The fare shown to the passenger before booking is exactly what the driver receives, and for card payments the gateway settles straight to the driver’s own account — MageRide never holds ride money.
